Factory Farming

Pigs are not treated well today because of something called factory farming. The young piglets are removed from their mothers too soon, and put into crates, just like what happened to Willow-Mia Pig, and brought to factory farms. There, they are shoved into small, overcrowded spaces that are poorly kept, never to have the sunshine on their backs or to root in the dirt again. They are given the wrong foods to fatten them up for slaughter more quickly, and their lives are cut short far too soon. This is the fate of more than 100 million pigs each year in the United States alone. We hope you now have a better understanding of how hard it is to be a pig in today’s world and most of all, we hope that you will join us and "dare to care."
